Blindness And Your Critical Illness Insurance Plan

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

If an individual had taken out a critical illness insurance together with life insurance policy with an insurance provider, for them to pay out on a claim for example blindness the insured life must have not previously had any form of treatment for blindness or anything treated with their eyes.

For example a pre existing medical condition or any form of treatment that was prior to the policy being incepted must be disclosed upon inception of the policy.

When the policy was incepted and depending on the amount that has been insured checks will have been under taken to ensure that any pre existing medical treatment or conditions should have been disclosed. If it was to be found that the insured had not disclosed any form of treatment or medical issues that they may have had and a claim was to arise the underwriters would not pay out on the claim due to non disclosure.
